CAP about to be official GRI training partner for Benelux

CAP has been selected as certified training partner of the Global Reporting Initiative, together with Pré Consultants (The Netherlands) and Global Perspective (Luxembourg). The Certified Training Programme aims to disseminate knowledge on sustainability reporting around the world and helps report makers and users to more effectively use the GRI framework and GRI reports. The training material is under certification process. First trainings in Benelux start this fall !

Eco-zonings : 7 septembre 2010 : conférence et appel à projets

La Wallonie stimule l'écologie industrielle sur les zones d'activité économique (ZAE). CAP, en consortium avec Tractebel Engineering et Sofies (Suisse), organise pour le compte du ministre wallon de l'économie un appel à projets sur les éco-zonings et l'écologie industrielle. L'appel cible les entreprises actives dans les ZAE, intercommunales, bureaux d'études pour imaginer des synergies et des échanges de flux d'énergie et de matière. Good news: ISO 26000 is coming out this fall! CAP bases its training on the final, official version

In May, the ISO working group writing the ISO 26000 Guidelines on Social Responsibility concluded that the text was now mature to become a standard by the end of the summer. In order to stick our training session to the official version of the Standard, CAP conseil proposes proposes a training on the 14-15 October. The training will be built on practical cases that will also explain the last nuances brought to the text. This session will also launch a pilot working group for the implementation of the Guidelines into the members' organisations.

Fair & Sustainable Trade: 3 brochures available !

CAP conseil finished the inventory and study on 23 fair and sustainable trade initiatives. The study will be distributed by the Trade for Development Centre under the form of 3 brochures. They target 3 different groups: general public, the producers in the South and the Belgian economic actors. The brochures are available in French on www.befair.be in the "resources" section. Translation and publication will soon follow.

Stratégies Africaines de Développement Durable - Bénin, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger et Togo passent à la vitesse supérieure

Invité par l'IEPF, CAP poursuit son appui à la mise en place des Stratégies Nationales de Développement Durable au Bénin, en Côte d’Ivoire, au Togo et au Niger, dans leur processus de rédaction et/ou de revue par les pairs. CAP étudie, anime et évalue les travaux en concertation avec les commissions nationales de développement durable.

The SA8000 challenge in China

Promodéfi continues its collaboration with CAP, raising its ambitions for its Chinese factory of reusable plastic bags. CAP accompanies the factory in the Jiangsu Province to integrate and comply with the SA8000 standard. Adapting local working conditions and the business model of an SME with international expectations is a beautiful challenge.
